Nocturnal caiman trip

Brilkaaiman

Caimans are a subfamily of the alligator. They are crocodilions, only living in South America, and almost exclusively in the north and northeast. Here, in the Gran Rio region, we find among others the spectacled caiman. After supper you go on your way with your guide and the boatsman. They know the spots in the Gran Rio where there are caimans. They will try to spot some caimans for you by means of a strong spotlight. The eyes of the caiman are red in the lamplight.  You can see them from a large distance already. Your boatsman will try to get nearer, but not too close, for your safety, of course!
